Innovation in 3PL to maximise project impact
- Beyond logistics Ltd prides itself for its innovation to maximize project implementation and impact for its clients and project beneficiaries. One key project where this was achieved required delivering sensitive vaccines in a last mile pilot project launched in three Ugandan districts.
- Beyond Logistics innovated different ways of transporting, delivering and distributing the sensitive vaccines. One of the goals of this pilot project was to increase district delivery of vaccines and increase the availability of vaccines as and when mothers sought immunization for children under 5 years. With BLL’s innovation in 3PL, vaccines delivery in the 180 health facilities increased from 4% at baseline to 97%.
- By ensuring that vaccines are available as and when needed, BLL participated in changing the narrative for mothers whose children were at risk of suffering or even dying from immunisable diseases.
